DESCRIPTION: A unique flavour profile, blending a honey-like sweetness with tangy tartness sure to delight your taste buds. When compared to the Gravenstein apple from which this variety was derived, Red Gravenstein is somewhat sweeter than its famous parent. They are also very juicy, and excellent when eaten fresh from the tree but also a favorite among bakers. Although it doesn't make the best pollinating partner for other apple trees, the Red Gravenstein is a great addition to any orchard. It is a reliable producer, yielding bountiful crops of delicious red apples from late August to early September.
